If you’ve ever wondered why the thought of retirement does not excite you or why you would rather prioritize travelling to a new country as a goal rather than owning your own house, here’s why
You are not a baby boomer, neither are you a member of generation X, you’re a millennial
Baby boomers are those who were born between the years 1946-1964 while members of Generation X were born between the years 1965-1979.
Millennials are those who were born between the years 1980-2000.
Millennials do not think about retirement as an event to look forward to when they are in their 60’s or 70’s.
Nope. We want to enjoy the present reasonably as we work towards creating the future of our dreams.
We treasure experiences more than stacking money in a bank account and think waiting for 30 years to get to the CEO office sounds like someone who lacks ambition.
After working with thousands of millennials over the course of 2 years, I realized there was a gap between what the financial institutions in Africa or specifically, Nigeria currently offers and what African millennials want.
I created a hypothesis and carried out a survey and shared my thoughts in an article.
and while you’re at it, do leave a comment to share your thoughts.
Finally, some of you have asked what’s coming up from me in the last quarter of 2018, here you go:
- The Collaboration Crash bundle – a special package of my book and access to archive videos from those who have started investment clubs and how they make it work.
- Book tour to Rwanda – I’m looking forward to attending the Global World Shapers conference and AMAA Awards in Kigali, Rwanda.
- Final Green Investment Club hangout series of the year – We’ll be hosting the CEO of LandWey and Founding President of CFA society of Nigeria to a meet-up where they share their inspiring investment stories in November
- 2019 Financial plan bundle – will be available in December just in time for you to plan for 2019
Enjoy the Independence weekend!
